Christine A. Maier AAC, ASBH
Education at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. Since 1999 she has worked as a cinematographer for numerous feature and documentary films, and since 2005 she has worked closely with the American artist Amie Siegel. Her films have won numerous awards including Goldener Bär 2006 and AFI Grand Jury Prize for “Grbavica” by Jasmila Zbanic, Vienna Film Prize and Fipresci Prize 1999 for “Nordrand”, FILM: Think Award (Berlinale 2014) for Provenance / Lot 246 by Amie Siegel, Grimme Award 2014 for “Counted” by Sabine Derflinger. Experience abroad: Bosnia, Croatia, Namibia, USA, India, France, Great Britain, Australia.
In 2018 she received the Austrian Film Prize for Best Picture Design for “Licht”. With “Life Guidance” she is again nominated for the Austrian Film Award 2019 for the best picture design.
